Celebrating 30 years
As producers and agriculturists, we often talk about leaving things better for the next generation and the Iowa Cattlemen's Foundation has been doing just that for the past 30 years. Join us and help celebrate and continue to leave your legacy on an industry we hold near and dear to our hearts - the Iowa beef cattle industry.
Making A Difference
The Iowa Cattlemen's Foundation was created 30 years ago as a 501(c)3 to help fund the purchase of what is now the Iowa Cattle Industry Headquarters. Since then the Foundation has helped support numerous projects, such as the Hansen Agricultural Learning Center on the Iowa State University campus, funding support for integral industry personnel and educators, and much, much more.
In the recent years, a fundamental focus has been put on ensuring a strong and healthy pipeline of talent coming into the industry. From scholarships to Youth Beef Team, and Extravaganza to the Iowa Foundation Heifer Program, the Foundation is committed to developing our future leaders.
Through your support we have had a successful 30 years and as we look toward the future, we know there is more to accomplish. That is why we are asking for your continued monetary support to the Foundation. Help us leave things better for the next generation!
The Power Of Your Gift
In honor of this special milestone, make your tax-deductible donation in an increment of three -- $30, $300, $3,000, or more. Donations can be mailed to the Iowa Cattlemen's Foundation at 2055 Ironwood Court, Ames, IA 50014. Note 30 Anniversary in the memo line.
Supporters at $300 or more will be recognized in the Iowa Cattleman magazine throughout 2024. All supporters of the 30-year campaign will be listed below through 2024.
Your support matters...Iowa Cattlemen's Foundation has been able to support many youth over the years. Here are just a few examples of your gift in action:
- Youth Beef Team - more than 500+ youth have been trained to advocate for the beef industry, since its inception in 1996
- Training opportunities
- Scholarships - over $7,000 in scholarship monies were awarded in 2023 with additional premiums for youth completing their Masters in Beef Advocacy
- Beef Bash
- Beef Scholarship Extravaganza - more than $15,000 in scholarship monies were awarded in this competition
- Iowa Foundation for Agricultural Advancement- two scholarships
- Maynard Jayne Scholarship - a $2,000 scholarship endowment for a full-time college/university student
- State FFA Beef Proficiency Awards - the FFA Leadership Conference gathers nearly 7,000 youth from across the state
- Young Cattlemen's Conference
- Iowa Cattlemen's Leadership Program
- Iowa Foundation Heifer Program and Iowa Beef Heifer Award
